Abt Motorsports is more than just a tuning shop - they supply and sponsor one of the biggest teams in Germany?s DTM race series. So when they step up with aerodynamic and power upgrades for some of the best cars in the world, they don?t just add show, they add go. The Abt Aud AS5 is no exception, receiving a new appearance and a power upgrade.

The 3.0L TDi turbodiesel gets a bump to 300hp from a stock 240hp. Torque is a typically massive diesel output of 600Nm (442lb-ft) at just 2,400rpm. The extra power comes by way of engine tuning and an Abt Power S turbo kit. To handle all the extra power - and the new top speed of 264km/h (164mph) - Abt has fitted a new suspension and a 380mm brake kit.

Exterior upgrades inlcude a two-tone paint job, a body kit and a new rear spoiler. Wheels are BR 20inch alloys, although as with all Abt kits, you can substitute any wheels you like. Inside, the AS5 gets a custom Abt steering wheel with nappa leather rim. Carbon-look leather accents and aluminum pedals and gear shift finish off the package.

A diesel with 300hp that gets to 100km/h (62mph) in just 5.3 seconds - and it can still be driven to work and back, with diesel fuel efficiency. Even better than the original, which is what Abt does best.

don't like the look much, Audi should make more aggresive cars, this one looks like a car a granny would go shopping with (providing she doesn't mind accelerating 0 to 100 in 4.2 seconds of course)
