True, but if you throw something good together and bring it over it's a sure panty dropper. So there's ups and downs.

Don't forget to buy some decent cookbooks. Like anything else these are personal choice as well. I'd say avoid those that are merely recipes. Learn why things do what they do so you can improvise.

i have all the gordon ramsay dvds. that guy pretty much rules. i've always had a knack for cooking. my high school yearbook even has my ambition as i wanted to be a chef in a five star restaurant. just one of those things that comes naturally to me. i love food, even though people think i don't eat it because i am thin, i appreciate great food like the next person.
;)

As much as I like to disagree with people for no good reason, you are right. He's OCD about food and has the skills and Michelin stars to back it up.

This is a must have, as well, though.

unless you're a pro stainless steel & copper will just get burnt to shit... the calphalon one anodized aluminium has great heat distribution... i really like em

you'll like em, check em out at a retail store and then buy em online for way cheaper

I second calphalon. I have had mine a couple of years and love it. Only down fall is it is not dishwasher safe so I have to wash it by hand.
