[HELP!] winXP geeks inside please.. I am stuck in a boot-loop
i really need some help over here!
okay.. my machine won't boot.. it goes to the xp logo / loading screen and then reboots. i can't even get into the safe mode or the last working config. (shows a blank screen and then hangs) i can't even boot from the xp cd.. gives either a "cannot boot from cd" or plenty of junk characters. i CAN boot from a live linux dvd (knoppix) and from there i CAN access all the data on the drive. first i thought the boot.ini may be corrupted but its okay. i booted from floppy did a fdisk/mbr and all the stuff, didnt help. did a cmos reset, didnt help. so.. what the fuck is wrong?! and how cant it be fixed? ...any clues?????? ..i mean, ANY clues?! thanx in advance. and to all my clients, i know some of you will read this: ***SORRY!!!*** but i can't finish your toons until this problem is fixed.
