WVU lost, looks like Missouri might lose, so who plays in the National Champ Game?
#1 Gone,
#2 Lossing Ohio State Looks like they would move up to #1 that leaves: Georgia Kansas V Tech LSU Georgia doesn't even make it to the SEC Championship muchless win it. They have 2 losses. Kansas only has 1 loss, but they didn't make it to their championship game either and they have a creme puff schedule. LSU vs VTech, both won their conference and both have 2 loses. LSU beat VTech straight up by 40+ points, and both of LSU's loses came in triple OT. Not to mention LSU by far has the hardest schedule in the country. Will the voters vote with their asses or make the right decission here. If Missouri loses it should be Ohio State vs LSU.

OSU in the game is a joke. I would be happy with any combo of Georgia, Virgina Tech, LSU, Oklahoma and USC in the title game. You could make a case for any of them having played a reasonable schedule and a powerhouse when healthy. VT's only knock in this is that LSU crushed the shit out of them this year so how much weight do you put on that when both teams were fully healthy. No idea.
All I care is that OSU, Kansas, Missouri, West Virgina get nowhere near it with their shit football and piss ass schedules. OSU only played one good team all year and lost.... Nuff said.

What sucks for Missouri is the that BCS is saying with a loss they may not even rank any longer and will most likely not even get into a bowl game.

They'll go to a bowl. Just not one of the big BSC bowls (Rose, Fiesta, Sugar, Orange).

Missouri could be a good team if they keep building on this momentum from this year. They look like they need to get bigger and quicker on defense but their offense is pretty good. Breaking down on the pass rush against the size and speed of Oklahoma but still doing fairly well.

Geogia and Kansas has to be 100% OUT. if you cant make it to your own conference championship, hell if you can't even win your 1/2 of your own conference then there is no fucking way you should be playing for the national championship.

If you want to apply your remarks towards Georgia and Kansas, I can't disagree with that. Keep in mind that Georgia was 6-2 in conf play but didn't get in because they lost the tie breaker to Tenn as they lost to Tenn who got beat by the Gators who got beat by Georgia. So at 10-2 they didn't get to play in place of Tenn who was 9-3. Go figure.

I would agree with that but if you have them jumping over teams like that, then I think you need to look at the schedules of the other top 6 teams and see who stacks up to jump as well and it aint Ohio State who played shit, lost at home to Illinois and has no conference champ game. Honestly if OSU gets in then I want an equally shitty team like Kansas or Hawaii to get in with them so at least its a competitive game. Last thing I want is to watch LSU beat the living shit out of them and have the game decided at half again.

Kentucky lost 5 out of 7 and ended up 7-5. Auburn ended up 8-4, barely ranked at #24. Alabama lost 4 in a row, one of them being Louisiana-Monroe, to end up 6-6. Obviously they were all overrated during the early part of the season.

I'm an LSU fan so obviously I agree with will76 on this one.
I am so happy the way things turned out, the BCS is fucked now. I hope they get their shit together and come up with some sort of playoff system soon so we can have a real champ. |

ahhh what does it matter there is no clear cut answer and the only thing that will get decided in the championship game is that of the 2 teams that got in, one will be better than the other one. Not necessarily the best in the country. Oh well I just hope its a competitive game which if OSU gets in I fear will not be the case. Hope I am wrong.

For Georgia vs Ten. who beat this team that beat that team that beat this team means shit. Ten beat georgia straight up. they were tied in div. Tenn scheduled an hard out of conference game against CAL at CAL. if they don't do that and schedule non conference cream puffs like georgia ( who played: W Carolina, Troy) then they both would have been 10-2. Also Georgia played 4 ranked teams , LSU played 7.

Kansas played Missouri, Missouri won. Oklahoma played Texas Tech, lost Ohio State Played Michigan, won. Lots of teams this year had a chance and lost. I think it sucks with the BCS when you have 3 unbeaten teams or 3 unclear favorites. This year no one really deserves it and a lot of teams had a chance.

you can't say teams lost "x" amount of games so it made them a bad team at the end of the year. either they were a good team all year or you have to look at it game by game. CAL came out ranked high and won their first 5 games in the beginning of the year. They were hot, which is when Ten played them. Different teams at different points in the year. Did they lose a star player to lose the last 6 ?

lol so true. They are getting overwhelmed by Washington right now. That says everything about how having a great looking record a la Hawaii, Ohio State, Kansas means nothing if you play nobody to prove yourself capable of playing the big boys. Desmond Howard saying Hawaii is lumbering around but really its because they can't recruit the type of players even a bottom feeder Pac 10 team like Washington can get. Simple as that. They are bigger and faster than Hawaii.

If you want hot then Kansas was Top 5 and lost 1 game - to Mizzou. Mizzou was #1 and Top 5 when OU beat them. OU beat Texas when they were in the Top 10. Miami and Tulsa were ranked when OU beat them. Mizzou beat the Illini who beat OSU. I'd love an OU-LSU rematch of the 2003 game. OU's Schedule North Texas 2-9 W 79-10 Miami (FL) 5-7 W 51-13 Utah State 8-4 W 54-3 @Tulsa 9-3 W 62-21 C-USA West Champion @Colorado 6-6 L 27-24 @Texas 9-3 W 28-21 Missouri 11-2 W 41-31 Big 12 North Champion @Iowa State 3-9 W 17-7 Texas A&M 7-5 W 42-14 Baylor 3-9 W 52-21 @Texas Tech 8-4 L 34-27 Oklahoma State 6-6 W 49-17 Missouri 11-2 W 38-17 Big 12 North Champion

I don't think USC, and OU did enough to jump LSU. I think the 2 things that help LSU is that they lost both games in triple OT and they have the hardest schedule in the country and they are already in front of OU and USC. if LSU would have been behind OU or USC, i dont think LSU could have jumped them. I don't see how they can not jump Georgia, Missouri and Vtech. In the Harris Poll LSU was #5, in the AP they were #5 (AP doesnt matter though) only in the coaches they were #7. They should move to #2 in Harris, and hopefully the coaches will put them to atleast #3. I think that will be enough with the computer vote to get them back to #2 in the BCS. My Predictions for the BCS rankings tomorrow: 1. Ohio State 2. LSU 3. Georgia 4. OU 5. V. Tech 6. Kansas 7. USC 8. Missouri 9. Florida 10. Arizona St. note 2 - 5 will be very tight.

That's from the NCAA. Note that the SEC and Big 12 have 3 teams each in the top 7 because they have to play LSU, UGA, Tenn, Fla, OU, Mizzou, Kansas and Texas.

and OU is #62 that has nothing to do with the BCS, its just a add up the wins and loses of teams you have played. There is more to strenght of schedule then that.

I don't know how they figure that one, LSU under less miles the last 3 years:
2005: 11-2 #6 2006: 11-2 #3 2007: 11-2 (should be #2 33-6 not shabby. I would say Les is doing a pretty good job. Over the last 3 years the teams with the best records: Ohio State: 33-4 USC: 33-5 W. Virginia: 32-5 LSU: 33-6 Texas: 32-6 V Tech: 32-7 Florida: 31-7 Wisconsin: 31-7 OU: 30-9 Georgia: 29-9

the " OT " NFL post game show on one of the channels that comes on after the 3:15 NFL game ends.... they announce it there first about 6:45pm. However the AP and/or Harris poll is released before hand usually, and i think you will be able to tell a lot from that. If LSU is #2 in both then it should be a lock for the BCS. They shoud be #2 in the Harris, its the damn coaches poll we need to be worried about. Some of these coaches will politic and vote for a team in their conference.
I think the whole coaches vote is bull shit. BCS games make the conference money, and in many cases they have played and lost to the team in their conference so it just make them look better if they got beat by a top ranked team. LSU might lose a little because of this since GA will be voting themselves #2 for sure and no telling who else's support they might get.

OU should be playing in the championship game.
Mizzou got shafted by the Orange Bowl. Natl Championship - LSU/Ohio St Sugar Bowl - Hawaii/UGA Fiesta - OU/W VA Rose - USC/Illini Orange - Kansas/Va Tech Any of the above teams would drill Hawaii.

LSU will beat Ohio state.
Missouri did get shafted. Kansas did not beat a team that got ONE vote for being in the top 25. So all 10 teams they beat did not get 1 vote to be in the top 25 muchless did they end up in the top 25. Missouri should have gone to a BCS instead of Kansas. V Tech will beat them by 17. LSU will beat OSU by 24 UGA beats Hawaii by 14 Ill beats USC by 6 OU beats WVA by 27
