how can you fake a DNS???
Ok i received some spam email i and wanted to know where it was coming from, so i did a trace route on Samspade.org
But the thing is htat i saw that htey had fake DNS entry when i did a trace route. That says rDNS , likely what you have is a mismatch between the forward and reverse name resolutions.
Don't trust 3rd parties for tracing anyways, you want to know from where you are not them. If you don't have a unix box handy, windows does have some basic utilities. Start a command shell and run tracert somehost.com |
