Damn, if I took all these offers and then re-sold them out to others Id make a killing..

It would pay for a few new Cars for sure.

Check out www.mojohost.com they offer great service and great support

AntiDrama 11-29-2007 09:05 AM

All of you hosts are fighting to host BoneProne at no cost and most of you are willing to do it at a loss.

Now THAT makes business sense [ :error ].

Note: That being said, if you're getting hosted FREE or with a HOOKUP, go with Webair. They are damn reliable, good support, great guys.

Mutha fuckas. Dont they know who I is?? Im boneprone bitch.

In all seriousness Jupiter has been and is the best host Ive ever been with.

But Id like to seek other options out there if there are any.

Not saying im leaving. Just shopping options.

Translation:

I'm putting it out there that I'm shopping in hopes that I can get my "family deal" back so that I don't have to go through all the bullshit of changing hosts..

mpahlca 11-29-2007 09:42 AM

Well the only host I have been happy with lately is Dweeks at Swiftwill.com he is the king. http://www.swiftwill.com

In all my years here and from what ive always just been told, Boneprone Has NEVER had to pay for his hosting ever. Even in the expensive bandwith days.

From LikeWhoa to Jupiter and offers from many more. I bet BP is in new waters having to actually pay for something. Hehehehe. BP4L meltdown.

Here are some specs. Im working my way around to talk to each of ya.

I was, or I should say i am currently set up on a "three server system". See www.boneprone.com for an example.

My sites/scripts on one server, and the second server holds all the images and graphics the third mysql. Its a great system for load balancing.

However the three server system is on some older several year old P4's.. With the power of the new Quads and 4 gigs of Ram im thinking I can put it it all on one server and just get 3 hds..

So heres what im looking for in some form and gotten quotes on thus far:

-Quad Cores
-4 GIG RAM
- 3HDs
-40 mpbs
-How much overage charge? (If possible a preset upgrade $$ amount. I want to have the piece of mind I can grow with you and not be stuck at this 40mpbs and then have to pay three times the amount later down the road for an additional server or additional bandwith)

boneprone 11-29-2007 11:44 AM

Sorry for not getting back to some of you.
Ive been trying to sort shit out..

Ive been talking to Jupiter.. They are trying to figure out why I have these boxes and havent been paying on them.

I guess no one sent them the memo when they bought out Jupiter.

They cant find any "contracts" on the comped servers. Only on my cheap one.

LOL.. Thats family style son.. No contracts... when 2257 comes knockin, hey that aint my server!

all joking aside, there seems to be some confusion. Been working with them trying to help them shed some light on whats been going on.

Going to chop this bill down to something reasonable and then either move on or see if they are willing to set something up.

Ill be hitting you guys up later today.

THX.

boneprone 11-29-2007 11:58 AM

they are looking into things now

All the rest of it aside, and whoever you go with, this is wrong to do.

Given the stuff in your previous thread about how your programmer doesn't like RAID for some reason, I'm guessing that's coming from him?

Unless you ask yourself the question "If this server were to completely go offline right now, and wasn't back up for 3, 4, or maybe even 12 hours, would I care at all?" and answer it with "Of course I wouldn't care", then you need RAID, and RAID 0 doesn't count.

Disk are the most common part on a server to fail, and the part most likely to cause extended downtime if it does. For new servers, there's very strong options out there for hardware RAID, there's no reason to not use it anymore.

I don't have a dog in this race, but whatever you end up going with, make RAID a necessity, particularly if you're putting everything on one server.
