In Summer of 2006, Burr performed on the Opie and Anthony Virus Tour. This took everything good about standup and turned it upside down. Instead of a nicely lit, intimate comedy club with a good sound system, the comedians had to deal with a few thousand drunken idiots, in an outdoor ampitheatre. Needless to say, it was a disaster.. for the first few comics. Everyone was booed off before Bill Burr took the stage fighting. He got booed...but just refused to get off. He threw his prewritten material aside and tore into Philly.
