Bad Manners of People Who Take Your Money
Been making quite a few purchases these this last week on content, services, scripts and such. Nothing large, $10 here, $50 there, the biggest was $275. Its all custom work from people who do not have 1,000s of customers and therefore do have the time to thank people for their business.
It sort of bothers me when I send a payment to somebody for something and the y respond back with an empty e-mail with just an attachment containing what I bought. Out of 11 orders, 4 of them just dumped me with a blank e-mail with an attachment. Two of them did not even bother to write a subject to the e-mail. No "thank you for your business" or "happy turkey day" or "thanks for the purchase". Nothing.
I am not naming names of people who do this simply because I don't wanna deal with the bitching. Just gonna throw this out there and say some people need to really re-think the way they approach stuff. Do these people not realize that while today I am buying their cheap shit for pocket change but tomorrow as I launch more and more sites, I will be buying more and more services and that I'd be more inclined to choose the guy who left a good taste in my mouth last time?
I don't care if someone is only sending me $10 for a link on a blog or buying 1 fucking post, I am always going to thank them for their business and confirm receipt of their payment. I've been selling links lately and I make it a point to always thank customers for thier business. Its only good business to do so.
