It's not a matter of not understanding that, Bake - it's a matter of triggers for people's memory to be jogged

If I would have put - give me your best marketers of one page ads - I would have gotten a bunch of FPA/HPA samples in ICQ - whereas now I have galleries.

I do see your point though

Allways ask the designer how many galleries they submit per day You might be surprised by there answers.
I make some FHG for a couple of programes like FTV girls and Met Art but I dont call myself a designer and I dont do much because I charge 5X the normal rate.

yea i seriously undercharge for galleries, most do... I dont understand the huge money difference in a tour and a gallery... especially when a client wants the same aesthetic quality...

but alas... i try to keep the norm to gain the client...

it always depends on the clients' needs...

I started off as a submitter and I assure you I had the crappiest looking galleries listed but the content was unique and the text was very, very titillating. I did make very good money from submitting. Nowadays - the truth is that when you're building for FHG it's not exactly the same as submitting galleries.

When you submit, you are building directly to appeal to the surfer, 95% of the time you have a paid pass and if you're approach is unique enough, you're listed and you can convert good enough.

When you're building FHG - first you have to build to appeal to the TGP/MGP owner - as retarded as that sounds - that's truly your primary market. If they don't like your galleries, they aren't going to put you on their sites, they won't bother to find out if that ugly ass gallery is going to convert their traffic or not. At some point in time the industry shifted from profitable to pretty and pretty doesn't always equal to $.

The secret nowadays is making something that's pretty enough for people to list and sellable enough to make a return on it.

All the good submitters won't sell me their designs though

Been trying that one for years hahah

Yeah Ive talked to Programe owners about this problem even when they point out the highest earning galleru templates tgp owners will still pick other one just because they like the look.
