Servers fine and sites all good and up still at that time.

Fire brigade arrived 9.10pm local time.

Servers fine and sites all good and up still at that time.

Fire brigade shit down power 9.11pm, UPS's kick in, so servers still up and good at that time.

Fire under control 9.20pm.

Servers fine and sites all good and up still at that time.

9.30pm... Air conditioning has been off since 9.11pm, and heat of fire etc adds to dilemna.

Servers start to shut down on auto-protection due to over-heating :-(

Fire brigade stabilize and power restored at 10.00pm.

Servers slowly brought back up one by one from 10.45pm.

Midnight, all back up and working, and sorted fine.

Another day in the life .....

But it does underscore a good plan and systems in place for crisis management.

Our mirrors had just kicked in as the primaries came back up, so we were covered, and in many cases around the place there was no service interuption at all.

A good plan, excellent systems and practices and an AWESOME team pays off in spades when the proverbial hits the other proverbial.
