Long term non-business oriented goals.

Let's hear 'em guys. You know, that one thing that you'll be content on your death bed knowing you did it.

For me: Climb Everest.

Hopefully in the next 5 years, or so.

For me: Cook as many differing cuisines of the world possible.

Another goal: Buy a farm lot and plant a mahogany grove.

My ultimate goal: Start a free college for orphans, kids from poor landless farmers' families, and provincial poor. This one's gonna be a tall order but I've already started putting away cash.

Become a midwife. working on that goal everyday, 4 to 10 years of university. is going to cost me a lot but it will be well worth it when I deliver my first baby with my team of nurses and midwives.

Raising my son with awareness of how terrible the world can be, but without letting it seep in and jade him. If he takes the same values I espouse, honesty, courtesy, and compassion, and multiplies them in his own life. My fondest hope is that one day he will say to me, "You got it JUST right. Thanks for guiding me on the right road."

My stepmother is a midwife - she LOVES it. Great hours (she works 48 hours straight and then gets the rest of the week off) and great pay. Good luck

I've been fortunate enough to have had great health, a nasty bike wreck I walked away from, two careers that went well, two ex-wife's I no longer have to send money to ....

If I can continue reading at least two books a week, living very well but simple ..... If I can help make people close to me happy ... I'll be very satisfied.

Had a good day today, my niece, my yard, neighbors horses.

Not yet. I've watched almost every Everest documentary and am I'm getting in to the books now.

I don't know what your climbining experience might be but I'm taking a cold weather mountaneering course for 8 days on Mt. Reineer in April. Looking forward to it.

definitely read it. then read The Climb. it is a complete contrast to Into Thin Air, and I like Borkorov much more, even though he is not a writer. He is a real climber. saved half a dozen people on everest that same day/night.

I am a very strong hiker, and scrambler. I am not a real climber though. Though you don't need to be a real climber to do everest. What you do need to do is be in very good shape, and able to handle high alititude. and pain. I have been at high altitude many times when I was in Argentina (the Andes), i've been there three years straight to snowboard. I actually got very sick the first time i was there from too many cat ski/heli ski days without aclimatizing.

I know i'm not telling you anything you don't already know.

Na... don't start with the luxury crap - the units facing the dumpsters are prime real estate

Seriously... no dumpsters, just awesome views and full "facilities" - that includes a bit more than dialup else I sure ain't living there *lol*

No specific order as some are a lot easier then others.

1. Walk on the great wall of china. Not a huge fan of the orient but this has always resurfaced as something I want to do.

2. Be able to touch my head to my knees. I was able to do this just 10 years and a big back surgery ago. Currently sitting at 90 degrees is rough so who knows.

3. Straighten out my personal life. Not going to give details but it is a mess.
