The top one looks OK. The older ones with all the plastic trim look like ass.

My parents own an 02 and it is also gutless as hell, even though it has the 5.3. The motor puts out plenty of power, but the thing is just too big and heavy. The blind spots are also the worst I have seen. It is also too much of a hassle to convert the back from the different modes you can use, so they always just leave it alone. I would either get a real pickup or go for the Yukon if you want more seats. (or the Cadillac if you want to spend more) ![]() My friend just brought one of these back from the Toronto auto auction and the thing is amazing. He only paid $38,500 for a loaded 2007 and already has it sold for a little over $40K, which is an awesome deal compared to the new price. |

Looks nice in black and chrome. I'm thinking of picking myself up a new Silverado in a year or so. Black with chrome etc.

I had an Avalanche before I got my Z... I must say it was one of my favorite autos ever. I'm thinking of getting another one down the road for snowboarding. The new look is also cleaner than the past and should turn a few heads.

Huge, gas hungry, and a total waste 90% of time. Most people who own them (and the SUV offspring) drive around along hauling nothing more than a McDonalds bag and a giant drink.

You would think with $100 per barrel oil that Americans would wake up and buy something a little more practical. |

I considered getting an Avalanche. Probably will do so next spring, when it's beach weather here. Couple of built-in waterproof spaces that make incredible coolers for ice and drinks when we're shooting at the beach or just out from our city a bit.

Love the look and feel, but we will be definitely going with all the upgrades. Except seat warmers which aren't needed in south Florida. Oddly, they ship almost ALL vehicles to our area with defrost, seat warmers and other up-North features. I guess it's easier to manufacture for the 40 or so states where those things are important. |
