                                  there are more .nu, .to and similar domains developed than .eu's as it seems...

                                  and as i remember, there was a news on the second day when it was available that there were more .eu's than .net's at that time...

                                                  The problem with new domain extentions is that all of them get bought by domain traders/hijackers who hope to make lots of cash monies of the domains when the extension becomes popular. But of course they never will, because they own all the good domains, so almost no one will start (popular) sites on the extension, so the extension can never get popular.
