Well, this may be good-bye

Hopefully I don't crash the plane, but if I do know I went out with a smile on my face.

Nah, as I told the pilot the first time I did this, "you can't scare me."

Even during debriefing the other pilots commented about my composure. I am fearless.

See ya at WAW?

You know, I was just thinking about this.
I do a lot of high risk / stupid stuff [running metro lines, climbing cranes, playing in 110 year old powerstation tunnels behind Niagara falls...] - and I'm more than happy to admit that fear plays an element.

Fear is a necessary response. Humans have it for a reason. It's the voice in your head that makes you get the fuck out of somewhere when you need to.

Absolutely, you need to control it and use it properly, there's no point running in circles like a pillock - but I think that being with someone who claims they have no fear might be a dangerous thing ..?

Or, I'm reading too far into it :D

Well, I won't go into Nickerson Gardens at night without an invite.

Well, I believe they were passengers, not flying it.

On the upside, it is clear, very little wind, and sunny. About 75. I am parked outside the office, and so devoted to my work, that I am actually going thru email before taking the plunge.

At some point of pushing the fear you begin to realise that you were scared to do a lot of things. But you lived to tell the story. and Hell, if things go wrong, it only hurts for a little while.

I have been in some situations that no one on this board will ever be in, and I was not scared. I reacted to them and went on with my day.

Enjoy your trip, man. Be safe. Actually, that might be one of the things I might look into trying--flying. Thankfully, flight lessons are dirt cheap here in the Philippines.

You gonna be flying a plane? If do thats fucking awesome! I have a friend who is a Pilot for an Airline out of Hong Kong. He took the easy option and had his parents pay $130K for him to be a Pilot LOL. He tool some sort of course that fast tracks you or something. He loves it tho, says I should do it as well, since he's now earning over $250K per year plus an amazing appartment in Hong Kong. He's 31 now, I'm only 24 but I'd defo love to do the course he did!

If you could handle flying with the Wright brothers I'm sure you will do fine with the modern planes

Not exactly

As you can see, the plane was a lot smaller. It was also slower and we were closer to the ground. I swear, when we were diving doing spins it looked like I could touch the ground.

There were some things it was not built for, like tail slides, but we made up for it with this sweet move that was like a U-turn combined with a flip. It was fucking amazing.

The LS trip was great, no doubt about it, but actually doing it yourself, especially the first time, was pretty damn awesome.

That be da place. I had to go there a couple times when I had my telecommunications company. I knew I was only allowed there because of the invite.

That place is a little scary. Watts itself is not bad, but the Gardens is an entire different thing. Cops won't even go in there unless there are several of them together.
