    WOW MMA Fans... I had no idea...

    Just saw Dennis Miller interview with Dana White. UFC now owns PRIDE and WEC...

    Crazy....

    Anyone else new this?

    I think it's great. It menas that those three different orgs can have fighters cross fight....

      haven't been paying attention for a while? :P this happened quite a while ago, it's why we have so many pride fighters in ufc now...

              i love WEC... a lot more action.. they break fighters if no forward progress is made.. no UFC stuff you opponet in the cage for 5 minutes...

                                      WEC has been owned by Zuffa for a while now. They use it as a "minor league" event to grow potential UFC fighters.

                                      Pride also been for a while... Zuffa "said" in a press conference in Japan at the beginning that they would continue activity and then just grabbed the majority of the contracts and dissolved the org.

                                          UFC is getting better about that, but there are still times where the fights get boring.

                                          I'm getting tired of all this shit anyways. It's almost rare to see a great fight. Seems either lopsided or flat out boring. Although, the next fight card looks like it might turn out pretty good.

                                          either way, UFC = WWF imo.

                                              I think the WEC buy was a good idea. Imagine WEC with the marketing engine of UFC. Gonna be fun to watch, last nights card was awesome.

                                                      To anyone that thinks the UFC is boring now and that all the fights are boring should watch the Clay Guida and Roger Huerta fight from last weekend. That is the fight of the year for sure.

                                                      And yes, WEC, Pride FC, and UFC are all owned by Zuffa now. However, they folded Pride FC and fired all the employees a few months ago. That group of people (formerly Dream Entertainment) are putting on a great NYE show in Japan with the cooperation of some of the other Japanese based organizations. Should be a good show.

                                                          Actually they also own a couple of other organizations. And have some control over all. They are called "farm organizations" This is were all of the talent pool gets pulled from.

                                                          Dana White is all powerful in this sport! If you piss him off, he can make it where you never can fight again.

                                                          Remember that "Chick" Rutager, who was on season 5? the one that could not make weight? the one that needed to loose 2 more pounds in the steam room?

                                                          That guy has tried to get a fight licensee in CA, and Dana said "NO". He has gotten one in other states, and Dana had it pulled days before the fights.

                                                          Dana White is "GOD" when it comes to "MMA". He has well earned it too. Dont fuck with him, he will burry you if your an mma fighter.

                                                          They own Zyence the supplement company too.

                                                          The fight game i know very well. Started 17 years ago in a small garage with a group of Brazilian brothers with the last name "Grace"..

                                                              WEC is not only minor leaguse, it's home to the deepest 145 and 135ers in the world. It's the big deal for featherweights and bantamweights.
