i agree tottally...they carry them at costco so im gonna check it out there..Also if you the customer doenst actually play with the tv setting yourself theres a good chance you will be basing your desicion on the TV that the store wants you to buy ..the one they setup perfect while the others are always sligtley off tune

vizio are ok tv's but def not top of the line. You will see a diff in pic and color quality with other brands

If you do buy one make sure to get the extended warranty

I just paid sears 500.00 to fix my HDTV today cause the inverter board broke and I didnt get the extended warranty

When shit breaks on these things it costs a fortune

I have the 50", paid $1250 for it 8 months ago. I am very happy with it. HD picture is amazing.
I've seen the 42" vizio's going super cheap though, like $450... so if it were me, I'd rather have 2 42" inchers and still save $750

It is 720 DPI, you really need to get a 1080, I just got a 65" Plasma.

But hell for that price why not!

Yeah i thought vizio was a bottom line brand too..but then i talked to a friend who installs them for a living...he said vizio is the best hes seen as far as picture and as far as breakdown...he said thats because vizio doenst make anything else but plasma and lcd's

warranties i always get fucked on...either they dont cover my problem..or the cost to fix is like 100 bucks more than what the warranty would have cost me

Get at 1080 ... and get a DLP.
But based on my own painful experience and that of HORDES of others online, do not get a Toshiba.

Not bad, but it only does 1080i, not 1080p.

I got hubby one of these for his birthday, it's awesome he loves it, and it's 1080p

They're all 1080i, go with the new Vizio ones that are 1080p and you'll get the better HD picture.

Whatever dude.

I mis-spoke earlier when I said I had a 1080I....I have a Vizio 1080 whatever the fuck it is LCD and IT'S A PIECE OF SHIT.

1080I, 1080P, 8x10, or whatever. If it says Vizio on it then it's crap.

Thought that. Replaced it. Same thing.

ALL the Vizios at Costco have a significantly worse picture than any of the other brands.

I built a pretty cool built in home theater system and that TV is by far the weakest link. I've even tried swapping out the cables.

My buddy brought his Sony LCD in and there is a world of difference.

As far the PICTURE of ANY TV in ANY STORE ----> The Tv's are set by the salesmen to look better/worse depending on the price and the TV they want to sell you.UNLESS YOU change the stetting on the TV you are interested in buying you really have clue on what the tv would re4ally look like with proper settings

i was palnning on getting the 60 on black friday...i guess i

Save up and buy yourself a Panasonic... you won't regret it!

I have a 50" samsung plasma which I love - i wouldn't buy anything else! IMO: Plasma > DLP

Honestly, if you're not in the mood for dropping an extra couple hundred, just get the 720p. You can't even tell the difference between 1080p and 720p unless you're EXTREMELY close to the TV (pixels are bigger). But once you're sitting on the couch, you won't notice.

A 65" for 1800 is a great deal. Long live plasmas!
