On an aside, floods, storms, etc overall are NO worse than hudreds of years ago - they just seem that way from the wall-to-wall TV doomsday fire and brimstone coverage.

Oh, while pondering that one, a recent study came out indicating that the surface temperature of Mars appears to have increased in recent times - how can that be!? ... maybe it's the Martians ... or perhaps, a more scientific reason, such as the Sun is putting out slightly more solar energy, which if true, would likely explain much, if not all, of the "global warming" here on Earth...

And to follow-up on that, "global warming" beats the alternative, which Earth has also experienced in the recorded human past, "global cooling" ... people who think weather is bad now, just wait until the next "ice age" - that will likely kill far more people than any warming we are experiencing now.

But I digress - back to the topic at hand...

When the world ends, it ends ... much like when one dies, one dies ... it's going to happen eventually, so why worry - instead experience life and all that it has to offer ... and hope that the end is quick, painless, and one goes out in style.

The only barrier between Muslims and Christians is that Muslims don't see Jeus as a God, they see him as a prophet. Some people even reffer to the muslims holy book as the 3rd testiment. Who knows, the predictions etc in the torah, bible and quran are all pretty similar anyway.

Back in uni we had a term on religious studys, and the Islamic viewpoint gives a much more in depth input on the "end of times". This is described as when, there is loads of corruption in the world, the world will be ruled by relentless tyrants, there will be alot of natrual disasters and big earthquakes and then the trumpet will come or w/e. Theres alot more but i cant remember since I don't subscribe to any religion but ya...conspiracys are always fun

Predicting Armageddon is probably one of the safest predictions you can make. Let's face it, man has been trying to destroy each other since the dawn of time, it's a no brainer to think one day they might actually succeed in completely fucking everything up.

Whether you believe in the bible or not...ask the question: Will the Earth always be inhabited by humans?
