i dont really talk to many people

but im often invisible

when im invisible then no one knows if im there or not, so if he messages me and im busy/in bad mood, or dont feel like talking to him for whatever reason, i just dont reply (if he asks a question, i'll reply later though, i never ignore messages, unless they are just "hey u there?")

if I was visible, it would be rude not to reply to him...

I no longer respond to "r u there" or "hi"

If I don't respond to you, it's because you don't tell me what you want.

I agree to a certain extent. IM's was made so you can instantly react. I would much rather get a response than not.

This is just my opinion but why get ICQ if you don't want to answer them. Just use email. Voo 2 THA DOO whats up kid!!

I am affraid I am guilty of that - I will not do it in the future....

I am always invisible as well - it may take a while for me to wean myself of that habit.
