I thought the UFC would put Lesnar in with a bum to protect their investment but this looks like a great fight. Mir was once a top notch fighter, think Lesnar may have been a bit too cocky asking for this fight. Does he know you can't crack your opponent with a chair or the Spanish announcers table in the UFC?!

Edit: Wrong guy. Either way, Mir is done and Lesnar isn't really that good. Should be boring.

Im going Hughes and Silva. Hopefully Silva has been training, I would hate to see him out of shape and get worked by liddell.

Even though I think liddell has gone too Hollywood like Andre Arlovski, I still believe he will beat Silva. Hughes over Serra for sure. I heard on the last UFC PPV that Matt is retiring after this fight. Let's see what happens.

As long as Silva is in shape, he could kick the piss out of anyone in the UFC right now. But if he comes in like Dan Henderson or Shogun, he'll get smoked. Liddell isn't exactly what he used to be anymore.

The past few fights, Mir has looked like a big cheeseburger walking around in the octagon. If he has another fight where he looks he might have a heart attack after the first minute, than he should just give it up. I've always been the person who roots for the underdog and who loves a great comeback, but he has been disappointing.

On TUF 6 Hughes said he had a couple more fights left. There was a rumour he'd step up to middleweight for a shot at Anderson Silva.

Totally agree about Liddell. I used to love the psychotic look in his eyes. I think he likes doing movies better now. I have been pretty good with my picks over the years--suprising most of the guys. We shall see.

Ahh. I guess I heard it wrong. I met Hughes at the airport after the the Vegas fight between Liddell and Randy. I have never been a big fan of his because he came off too cocky. Then when I hung out with him and his girlfriend, he happens to be a great guy. I also sat next to Andre on the flight coming back from vegas through Chicago...I acted like a 15 year old girl at a New Kids on the Block concert....so silly and a bit sad now that i think about it.:-)

If the Mir that showed up for his last fight is there, Mir will dominate.

I think Brock could take it. He's a legitimate NCAA champion with incredible, strength size and agility. Real wrestlers of that caliber have an extraordinary work ethic, and if he's trained properly I could see him being a serious contender in a short period of time.
A win would make him an immediate player and a loss could still legitimize him as a real fighter especially against Mir. (As long as it's not a squash [to steal a pro wrestling term])

somebody finally says it. don't let lesnar's wwe career throw you from what he is, a big brute force motherfucker with an impressive wrestling background. this man is pure fucking power and made of sheer strength. Now when you fiure in that this man holds a college wrestling record of 106-5 with two NCAA heavyweight division championships and a runner up position another year, you can't just write him off. he can easily rumble with the best of them on the ground i'd say. even if his striking is subpar, with that size and power, it's only gonna take a one punch in the right place to take you out, and just try to stop a brute like this from putting you on the ground where he wants you. i am excited to see lesnar's first UFC appearance, and i'm not writing anything off yet. he also has one mma match in k-1 under his belt now in which he submitted his opponent with STRIKES. submission by strikes takes a brtual asswhooping, and though choi-man or whatever his name was is a bit of a chump, he still got royally fucking hammered on the mat. goto youtube and find the vid.

Silva i can't see coming into the UFC sloppy, not after the run of Pride upsets up to this point. He's coming in wanting to crush chuck, and i'm sure of it. Really I don't see lidell having fuck all of a chance against wanderlei in this one. chuckie is all washed up, and if he loses this one, it SHOULD be the final nail in the coffin that is his career at this point. shogun i can understand, but how can you say henderosn cam ein sloppy? fuck that, dan's still the man, and rampage in no way KICKED HIS FUCKING ASS, it was just a loss. no one's saying he won the fight, but he certainly didn't get whooped by any means. rumor i hear is that dan is going middleweight now, which should be interesting. i can't wait for someone to shitkick anderson silva, and i think henderson is the man for the job.
