I consider Robert Smith to be one of the greatest songwriters ever, so I enjoy most of the Cure songs for various reasons...
"Fascination Street" had a big impact on me at the time. It came out during a major turning point in my life, when I was just coming out of the depression from my mother's death.
The music from the Disintegration album was so sad in one way, but it served as a catharsis for me to get over my own sadness. Here is a great version of "Disintegration" performed live in Berlin.
A Forest live at Glastonbury Festival in 1986. It was a 10 minute version, but seemed to last forever. Was raining but I didn’t care. I got a bootleg of the concert, still listen to it.
Was wondering when someone was going to mention the "Pornography" album - should have known it would be you...

I've seen the Cure live at least 10 times. One of the most amazing shows was when the stage was lit in blue for the entire show, and the only effects were from a fog machine periodically.
It was sublime and surreal, and one of the best concerts ever...
No doubt it has to be "Close to Me" Even though I was probably 10 when the video came out I still remember it like it was yesterday, thanks to youtube.

Somewhat off topic, but a few songs are like that for me.
Somebody - Depeche Mode
Love Song - The Cure
All I Need To Get By - Method Man & Mary J. Blige
I love so many and it all depends on my mood..Killing An Arab is near the top..as is Let's Go To Bed..perhaps Charlotte Sometimes...Close To Me at times...so many
I love the entire Pornography album, but I also really love that song Other Voices. I don't remember which album that's from.
It's on the great album "Faith" althought very depressive with songs like the Drowning Man...
My personnal favorites are: A Strange Day , Fire In Cairo, Fascination Street, A Night Like This, A Forest, Lullaby, and so many more...It's really hard to choose
"Lovesong" is one of my favorite songs of all time.
Robert Smith wrote it for his girlfriend as a gift shortly before marrying her in 1989.
I dedicated that song to my wife, as I found it to sum up my undying love for her, despite all of my shortcomings...we're still married too.

I second that. I remember seeing the video for Love Song when I was 8 or 9, and although I was a little creeped out about how Robert Smith looked in that video, I was very moved by the song.
