Larry King is one of those "why is he still on the air" types. He was maybe something 20 years ago, but at this point, he is just an annoying old fuck who is entirely irrelevant. For me, he is a total fucking drag on CNN. If I was working I might leave the TV on a channel like CNN just in case something is up, but come 9PM, I am changing the channel because I can't stand to listen to this undead moron.

It is time for him to go. It was time a long time ago, but now would be good.

Looks like the article's blowing it out of proportion, if anything... Larry never asked him if he got canceled - he asked him to back up the assertion that he wasn't canceled. There's a difference.

Actually, he's been quoted a number of times as saying he doesn't do research, he doesn't read his guests' books - he thinks that going into an interview with the same information about the guest as his viewers (that is, usually, none) will allow him to ask the same questions his viewers would ask, and that way his show would be more relevant to his viewers.

Which of course, is another way to say that he's just lazy --- and leaves himself open to be embarassed like he was with Seinfeld.

I think it was a bit friendlier than it comes off. Larry King actually has a part in the Bee Movie as Bee Larry King and interviews Seinfeld?s character in the movie. He acts clueless about the human Larry King in that bit.
