I was in Portland on business and called Aaron to see if he wanted to hang out for a few hours before I boarded my flight home. He and his beautiful girlfriend picked me up and asked if I was hungry. I told him I'd skipped lunch so that we could all go eat together, and off we went to eat.
When Aaron pulled up in front of a strip club I laughed like it was a joke. His girlfriend assured me that we were indeed eating there because the food was great. I could either be a prick and insist on going elsewhere, or I could get out of the damn car and go along. I know Aaron well enough to know that, although the food was good, he got a kick out of taking me to a strip club. I knew he wanted a photo, too, because I was well aware he couldn't wait to make a post about it on GFY. So I let him take that one, then backed out of subsequent attempts.
Aaron is my friend. If I didn't know him and understand what makes him tick I might have been pissed off at such a thing. As it was, Aaron was just being Aaron. After 9 years of producing content, being inside a strip club doesn't affect me. I find it rather sad and empty, to be honest. But let Aaron have his fun. Once it was time to leave, I was the first one out. Nope, I'm not beating myself up for it, nor do I feel any guilt or hypocrisy. As Craig Gross says, "You can't blame the dark for being dark. You can only blame the light for not shining into it."
Nice saying hello to everyone. Life's going well for me. I'm in Seminary now, studying to be ordained. I travel the country speaking to churches in front of crowds ranging from 300 to more than 20,000 people. I enjoy what I'm doing and am at peace with my life. I love people, and judge nobody for their decisions.

If Aaron had wanted to take me to a strip club to eat I would of told him to keep driving. I don't like strip clubs and would not let anyone take me to one. Especially to eat. Afraid of upsetting Aaron?

You stand up and preach porn is wrong and then go into a strip club to eat and put money into the business. You have your principals and I respect your rights, but please stick to them. To be swayed from them for a steak or the possibility of upsetting a bear, personality wise, like Aaron shows how weak your belief is.

Any ideas why God made us this way? We are created in his image, he made us how we are. So did he make us with an in built flaw or did he intend us to like sex and be aroused by it and the old impotent men of religion tell us God told us it's wrong?Comment
