That use to be true 30 to 50 years ago when most grunts on the frontline were lucky to get mail once a month. These days they have full fledge post offices just for american soldiers and lets not forget the webcams they use to actually look face to face with their loved ones on a daily basis. Actual snapshots are not as important anymore.
