You can easily get the poll results yo want by who you choose to poll. So you want it to say that more Americans support it.. Then you do most of your polling in "heart land" bible thumping areas. The typical right wing base supporters, that think they have to support what the govt says or they aren't true Americans.

If you want a poll that shows most Americans don't support it.. Well then you poll in mostly city areas where the bigger populations are more liberal minded.

In short anyone who believes a poll is a idiot.

In November, you can vote for America's next president or its first dictator.

It can get like that. If people are planted a seed, no matter how intelligent they are, - it's still possible to leave impressions. The more the bullshit is spewed - the more chance folks will believe it.

Dunno, but if people have a valid point, express it, and does not matter who agrees or otherwise. But.... there is probably a level when that gets beyond a joke and becomes an abuse when it starts to slant/distort and act as a "manager of the public" - accompanied with the usual fear tactics as tho the US is under threat.
