Sheeple! I like that word.

Yes this is getting unsustainable.... it sucks to see the economy start to unravel like this as we "stay the course" to the tune of $200 Billion/yr..

Probono 10-30-2007 06:28 PM

If you were feed FOX news 24 hours a day and believe the fantasy of democracy you might still believe in the US government. If you are a realist and understand the axiom is follow the money, like to Hallburton, you might wonder a bit more and start to doubt the flow of propaganda.

Thats like saying owning a Yugo is something. 3800+ dead Americans for a Yugo is not much of a victory to me.

Shok 10-30-2007 07:25 PM

3800 in almost 4 years is incredibly low when you think about the situation.

We went to get rid of Sadam, mission accomplished.
Yes we should leave but we are the only thing keeping it somewhat together right now.

If we left tomorrow it would be 10,000 times worse than it is now.

Yes, hit Iran and hit them HARD.

I agree.

With Hilter we called it "appeasement". Everyone is bitching about Iraq, but yet from 1991 to 2003 we did nothing but put up with the bullshit while Iraq fired on US warplanes.

But I have a better idea for Iran. Let's do another twenty years of appeasement. Seriously. By then... Their fucking oil will have run out and no one will give a fucking shit about the Middle East.

Crap - too dumb and not worth any comment.

Who says the US can fly over any country without permission?? Nobody. The US (and the UK) just decided they would do that. It has no credibility and there were no "rights" to be there.

Even better idea - mind your own fucking business and clean your own back yard up. It stinks.

Concern yourself with your own problems and not with the assets of other nations. Start beginning to pay off your debts to other nations and maybe then others will give a "fucking shit" about the US. Tho doubt any competency in doing that.

Tell that to someone who family member died for basically nothing. The Iraqis don't appreciate out sacrifices. Hell they refuse to fight for their own freedom. That's why they took it up the ass from Saddam for 25 years. Any society that refuses to fight for it's own freedom is doomed to failure. Do you think the US would be the country it is today if we allowed the French and Spain do all of our fighting for us durring the Revolution?

That wasn't the mission idiot. It only became the mission after no WMDs were found.

Then why not invade every country that is run by a dictator? Or are Iraqis more deserving of freedom that others? This whole "well we got rid of Saddam" excuse is bullshit.

So? We HAVE to leave someday. We aren't gong to keep forces there for 100 years are we? Fact is there isn't going to be any "best" time to leave. And when we leave the shit is going to hit the fan anyways. Actually prolonging it will make it worse. With your logic we'd still be in viet nam. Your logic is like being in a hopeless marriage, but staying because you're waiting for the "best" time to get a divorce.

You=RETARD. NO us planes wer shot down after the Gulf War. And we DID actually do something durring those 12 years and it WORKED. WHY wasn't there any WMDs found? Because of the policies enacted by Daddy Bush and continued on by Clinton and it didn't involve invasion. I was 22 when the first Gulf War happned so I have a better perspective on that part of history than you who were most like playing your NES with your elementary school friends.

heres a more recent poll from cnn that shows much different results

CNN/Opinion Research Corporation Poll. Oct. 12-14, 2007. N=1,212 adults nationwide. MoE ± 3.

.

"If the U.S. government decides to take military action in Iran, would you favor or oppose it?"

.

Favor Oppose Unsure .

% % % .

10/12-14/07
29 68 4 .

5/4-6/07
33 63 4 .

1/19-21/07
26 68 6

so 29% of people would support military action..

------------------------------

some more fodder

Which comes closer to your opinion? Iran is a threat to the United States that requires military action now. Iran is a threat that can be contained with diplomacy now. OR, Iran is not a threat to the United States at this time."

.

Military Action Now 9%
Diplomacy 59%
Not a Threat 24%
unsure 8%
------------------------------------------

gotta love FOX's poll questions.

"Last week the president of Iran said resolutions by the United Nations Security Council could not make Iran give up its nuclear program, saying quote, 'The Iranian nation won't give a damn about such useless resolutions.' Do you think the United Nations should still try diplomacy, or given Iran's defiant rhetoric do you think the United Nations should at a minimum impose economic sanctions on Iran right away?"

.

Still Try
Diplomacy 39%
Impose
Sanctions 51%
Unsure 10%

That really got to you ... You come back over and over with it, all outraged that Iraq would defend their airspace .... :1orglaugh:1orglaugh

What were they supposed to do ??? ... Serve you peanuts and get bombed ?

BTW, would the USA fire at warplanes violating their airspace ???

I am pretty sure they would, since they even fired and shot down a civilian airliner not even in their airspace ... :2 cents:

Is that what it is katushka - politics? GFY can sometimes reach below the level of politics into a quagmire swamp where the mentally ill live - but, they can't help it :winkwink:

Sadly I'm only at my trainer bra stage, but got huge ambitions :winkwink::thumbsup

You're an idiot :2 cents:

Have you ever thought about taking a look at the reasons behind terrorist attacks in the US and Israel? And no, it's not because they "hate freedom".

Yup.

But not for the reasons you think.

The USA will not bomb Iran, Iran will get their own bomb (eventually) and they will use it (probably on Israel).

That is when you'll get your "ww3" :2 cents:
