I have just moved to Spain and Google, AFF etc. think I am in Spain and give me spanish content - other than using a proxy how can I get around this?

Usually I can always choose what language etc. I prefer.
If everything else fails - set up a VPN on one of your servers, or use a VPN Service, they usually are not that expensive.

btw how many square meters? 400 euro per month sounds really cheap for such an apartment though, especially in a place which is warm most of the year and isn't in a bad neighborhood
but i assume you need an extra 100 euros for bills?

You have option to choose for language, but http-tunnel is the best solution for what You need, just pay 5 bucks per month and You have done.
it's still counted as a proxy thing, but at least You don't need to set any proxy.

Firefox will have a tendancy to serve shit in spanish, while IE tends to stick to english.
As posters have pointed out though, VPN or proxy are your best bets, with VPN being the better of the two.Comment

Easiest way is to pay a tech $10 to setup tinyproxy on one of your US based servers and setup a restricted US proxy allowing access to your spanish IP. Dealing with public proxies really aren't worth the trouble obviously.ICQ: 637//961--015Comment

I've been in Tenerife 8 years and would never return to the UK.
I get pissed off with the geo sites that don't have an English option, usually just shut them down and look elsewhere. They don't seem to realise the amount of English speaking people that live in non English speaking countries.Comment
