    Fire insurance question?

Fire insurance, will it cover ALL homes in California?

I once owned river-front property and know the loopholes insurance companies have in policies and the need for riders covering specific events. These are the same loopholes that devastated many homeowners in New Orleans.

example; water damage in most policies doesn't cover "moving water" damage caused by flooding.

Will fire insurance coverage be limited to with-in the dwelling occurrences, wiring, kitchen accidents, etc. Will air borne debris from outside the property be excluded? Just curious, insurance companies make their money from NOT paying claims. Anyone know?

And how far is the nearest fire station and how long does it take to reach your property? Sounds like a nice "business model" to get out of the property market slump?
