    A major Google page rank update has punished large scale blog link farms and similar sites indulging in heavy cross linking by dramatically cutting their Google page rank scores.

      they will lose some funding I'm sure from sold links, but who knows how much. So many people base everything on PR these days.

              Has PR updated on linkages that were added as recently as last week?

                Theres been rumors that PR updates to the toolbar may cease with this update. This is the medium that these sites use to determine PR too. It will be soon that we will have to find another measure of a sites worth.
