What are prices for outsourcing in USA?

We are interested in outsourcing some work to USA.
It's still not clear about where exactly, but probably Detroit will be the prefered place because we will have an inhouse member there for a couple of weeks, so he will be able to meet in poerson with the outsource person/company and prepare the work schedules.

We have still not clear if we will outsource to a given person or to a company.

We need someone relatively good at design and open minded enough to be able to make non cookie cuter sites from a template like most designers nowadays do.
Will need to make lots of text work too.
Native english with decent grammar and spelling is mandatory... no "me sell design, you buy" kind of person.
Must be able to make invoices and accept wire/bank transfers or PayPal. Epassporte is not an option. So it must be either a company or an individual merchant/worker.
Must be contactable by ICQ, phone and sometimes in person.

What is a decent monthly payment for Detroit area for such kind of professional or company? Interested in full time and part time prices.
Other places in USA are also ok, so if you don't live in Detroit also post your prices.

PS: This is not a call for all these Filipino "me work, me cheap, me good". If you are not in the USA, then don't waste my time with your offers.

      Funny post.

However, let me know if you are willing to hire me (I'm from Montreal, Canada). I also have a partner available for work.

Will work for as low as those Americans (... will accept USD). (lol)

The truth is because the exchange rate shifts, the US is quickly becoming a low cost provider. There is a slightly higher percentage of english speakers in the US compared to other countries as well.

The post almost made me laugh. Filipinos, are very well-versed in English. Well, probably being a native English speaker, I give you a B-minus for having only TWO spelling errors and ONE grammatical error.

              More LOLZ...

              BTW, Good Luck Bro.

I'm in michigan, though 4 hours from detroit. Not really sure what kind of price you'd pay though so I'm not much help haha. Inner detroit is shitty but the suburbs are pretty expensive so you'd probably run the risk of getting a shitty person for cheap price...

                  It's not a joke post.

From an european company, hiring someone in USA means that you get someone with the same qualification and it costs 33% less that if you hire that same person in Europe... just because the Euro/Dollar exchange rates.

So yes... USA is an outsourcing country with cheap, reliable and qualified workers... and it's not a joke.
Don't worry, when dollar rises again Europe will become the outsourcing country for you... and then back again.

Here is an example for you to ponder.

I have writers on staff who are tasked to write three 600-800 word articles on health related topics.

                      It takes them eight hours.

I had a problem with a writer and to assuage my client, I told him that if I had to, I would write the articles myself. Needless to say I had to!

It took me under three hours to accomplish the same task that takes my writer eight hours to complete.

While I would charge $15 an hour or more as a freelancer, obviously my client does not pay anywhere near that rate when he hires my laborers.

At the end of the day, it is still cheaper to get outsourced labor who take three times longer to complete a task, then it would be to hire someone in the USA.

If time is an issue, you may be on the right track. If you are looking for continuous task-based work you may want to think again.
