obama is an interesting character.. i don't understand why he's going for president this early in his career though

Gingrich is out for sure. Gore is out "unless" something catastrophic happens like Hillary wins early, and then has almost a year until the general election.
During that time if there was a big scandal or something like that....the dems could "draft Gore" at the convention.
He's not gonna get into the race though.


As for why Obama is running this early, a guy like him has to.
If your message is change and hope and let's get rid of the Washington insiders, you can't spend 20 years in Washington before you run that campaign.
Also, he's smart enough to know that there's a very good reason that Senators almost never get elected president. If you stay in the Senate long enough you're going to have to vote for a bad bill, and you're basically writing your opponent's campaign commercials for them.

I agree. We were all making shitloads of money, had one of the strongest currencies in the world, and running a balanced budget. We don't need that shit in our country!
