    Can you capture the audio from a YouTube video and save it as mp3?

    I tried vixy.net but its always busy and doesnt work that good for me anymore.

    Anyone know how to take the audio part of a youtube video and save it as .mp3 format so you can play it in your car?

          Get a firefox plugin to download the .flv file, then load that into your video editing software and save the audio stream.

                                  I had to do the exact same thing yesterday.

                                  First I downloaded the .flv from youtube, by filling out the youtube url at:
                                  http://keepvid.com/

                                  Then I downloaded this little free program to extract an mp3 audio file of the .flv video:
