I drink Coke or Mountain Dew (Pepsi Product) when I am going to have a soda, which is increasingly a rare occurrence.

Hell, when I was younger I used to drink a case of Mountain Dew a day, or more. These days, I rarely drink soda, opting instead for water. Not just for the health reasons (but that is a good part of it), but because I dislike the way most restaurants rip you off on soda sales, esp. at the drivethru.

Some resturants have begun charging more if you order your drink without ice or light on the ice, which I often do so that it doesn't water down and taste like shit. Other places have started charging for each glass. The stuff is so damn cheap, I bet no restaurant has even two cents in each large cup. And for this, they charge you $2 or more? Fuck that. Unless you go in there and drink 200 cups of soda, they are making a damn good profit on that sale, no need to fuck people over by charging by the cup or charging extra for no ice. Hell, no ice should earn you a discount, I am told it costs them more to make the ice in electric costs for the freezer than the soda costs.

OMG, charging extra for neat! That crushed ice you get in USA disipates a lot of liquid. I prefer the old fashioned type...

I have a theory about Coke too. Has anyone had Coke in Mexico? I swear it seems more powerful or something. Coke in Mexico seems to taste even better or have more carbonation then Coke here.

It's made with sugar cane in Mexico (usually), not corn syrup.

Yeah Coke in Mexico uses sugar cane, just like how you can still get Dr. Pepper when in Waco Texas.

As for those who keep saying Mountain Dew a Pepsi product, check again. I am fairly damn certain just like Dr. Pepper it is only bottled with under a license agreement with Pepsi (Dr. Pepper with coke), and that Mountain Dew is still privately owed just like Dr. Pepper. This may have changed but I would of been unaware of it, if it had.

I myself prefer Coke over Pepsi as Coke has more of a harsh bite to me which I like and Pepsi tastes to sweet for my liking. If they only have Pepsi I will typically go with a rootbeer or Iced T as long as it is not flavored Iced T. Same goes for Dr. Pepper when they try to off your Mr. Pibb as a replacement.

That's correct. Only in the U.S. is Coca-Cola sweetened with high fructose corn syrup. Everywhere else, it's sugar.

I also read that a chemical analysis of Coke and Pepsi determined that they both have a flavor base of orange-lemon but that Coke has slightly more orange, Pepsi more lemon.
