So, the next metallica album... could this be the one?

Seems like that's the question with every "next" metallica album, and st. anger (the last one) was one of the worst..

But there are 2 songs floating around, from this next album and I have to say, although they're live versions, they sound pretty damn oldschool.. We got kirk's solos back, we got speed, and we have 7 minute songs that don't conform to radio friendly music...

Here they are... what do you guys think?

I don't have much hope. They haven't had a good album since 91. Even then, Justice was superior in my opinion.

What? No way. The black album was created for radio play. I enjoy hearing Enter Sandman or Nothing Else Matters on the radio, but listening to that album straight through is horrendous...

And although I do really enjoy Justice (in fact, I was listening to it this morning), it has nothing on Master. Master is their best album, by far. Lightning and Kill are both great too but I have a hard time ranking those three albums because they are all at such different points in their early career. Each album is very different.

I will check out this new stuff, but I'm doubting it's any good... it's live, I like all of their music live.

A studio cover of their new song... I'm trying to figure out what's up with the “woahs”. Sounds like another "frantic tick tock".

for me Metallica exist only to 1992, seriously, they are tooooo old now and their albums don't have even 1% of old madness and brilliancy, they are not the same no more :P but I will always like their old stuff

just like any other form of art, once you do the same thing over and over 1000 times it gets old and you get bored.

Every album they make is completely different compared to the other ones?

New song (vulturous) in studio qualit... New song (vulturous) in studio quality. This is not a leak. Someone covered this song with his own band and recorded this song in studio. I belive metallica version will be far better, this covered song is still in "beta phase" (without solo)...at least it shows us, how the other new song could sound.

                  Its a Cover ..:2 cents:
