It feels like 1999 again. Silicon Valley Start-Ups Awash in Dollars

Internet start-ups are drawing investment based on their ability to build an audience, not bring in revenue ? the very alchemy that many say led to the inflation and bursting of the dot-com bubble.

Things are obviously different now in 2007 but good article talking about over-valuations etc.

LOL well the reason some were able to build up an audience was by giving it away for free, therefore they were of course not bringing in any revenue. So since that model failed initially, they are now going the t.v. route, bring in eyes, and sell advertising based not on click throughs, but on views.

It does work, but I think they will be wasting money in the long run.

The best thing that could happen is to get rid of Bush. Then find someone that really know what the hell they are doing, and start all over.
