When is her baby due ? Women are not suppose to fly or go far from home the last few months !

She doesn't know how long, she just tested positive
for being pregnant like 2 weeks ago.

It's not an issue of being pregnant, only issue is working
at the conventions.

Pregnant=hormone change= personality change..

She could not do a June convention if she was having a baby in MAY..

Yes, I think she made a snap decision without
thinking it through.

Sounds like a mistake to quit a nice and easy job like what she had. Just look at how many people here are willing to jump onto the job to replace her. Think of it this way, you won't have to pay a replacement the extra 2 hours/day you were giving for free.

I have had alot of close friends ask me about
what happend today. They all think this is crazy!

I agree...this is an odd situation.

I guess hormones are a big part of it, she felt that
I was taking money from her when I said that employees
that dont attend the show will not get paid.

In order to be fair to those who attend, I said that we are
closing our office during the show days. So, if you choose not
to go to the show, you get a few days off. Unpaid of course.

Its not fair to my other employees.

No, I don't think you were unfair at all. She knew that conventions were a requirement; you didn't tell her she had to go, you just said fine, take the time off unpaid. Seems fair.

Sounds to me like she was looking for a reason to quit, and she found this.

Let's see, you paid her 8 hours of work for 6 hours work per day, paid holidays, vacation time, and all the other countless benefits and she's not grateful?

Believe me, your not being unfair. She didn't realize what a great job she was giving up.
