Why has Searching been disabled in GFY???...

I love it to, though I bet it was done to speed this place up and prevent people from using damn bots to find shit and alert them via keywords and such. I know enough searches can just about kill vbb.

Thats so true and understandable, but now we all have to search thru every page till we find subscribed threads when they've moved from the front

Because of all the fucking sigwhores, would you hit it threads and all kinds of other bullshit, which make the search function mandatory to use in order to wade through all the fucking crap, which in turn slows down the board big time. Don't worry though, it's all about the pageviews.

1st off, I don't know bout you but I never bitched bout the speed

2nd there are other ways to get faster load without turning off search (if that is the case)

3rd if I or any other menber starts using google to search GFY we might come across sumthin better and not come back here which will result in drop of users / surfers

Removing search makes the site usless ecxcept fro current chat and it doesnt even enable that

For now type this in google "searchwords site:www.gfy.com" Not perfect but it works fairly well.
