Search is one of the most useful elements of GFY. Disabling it is a bad decision. The slight or even significant increase in page loading time is trivial compared to the utility of the search function.

Just rent fucking better server! Mine site generated nearly million hits daily and server for 400 USD loads was 1%. Buy fucking new server. Enable search. Greed bastards.

It was removed cuz that's cheaper and easier than upgrading the server(s).
