wordpress - want on my static front page one post - GoFuckYourself.com

Ive got some sites with wp 2.0.2 with that front page plugin, so that the front page of the blog is a static page (which you can create in the 'creat page' wp admin). The posts ar all at /dirforposts.

I want (please read carefully): The newest post that are posted in a specific category, appear on the static front page. So when I have category 1, 2 and 3, I only want to show the newest post from category 3 on my front page. You diggity dig? So when the other categories get new posts, the post on the front page statys the same. Only when category 3 gets a new post, that will obviously replace the previous cat 3 post on the front page.

If someone could place me in the right direction im already happy

Find your category code in your theme, copy it to your index page, manually paste in the category you want to display and voila.
