I wouldn't pay more then $100 to be in the yahoo directory.. it use to be free.
I wish Google Dmoz wasn't abandoned I mean ffs Wiki is user based and it updates within 5 seconds of lastest breaking information. -
Depends on the category and the industry. Yahoo directory links will help you rank higher. It's just a matter of deciding whether that jump in the rankings will bring you in more than $600.Comment

Yahoo Canada still allows free submissions, just keep following up with there email and re-applying every half year. However we do not see too much useful traffic from there anymore, but we are hardcoded listed there.

Take your $600 and buy more domains , link them all together and work on back links... to get some good PR's on them.In the long run you will be happier!yay

I was (this thread reminded me that I gotta hit them up!), they charged me $500 to incude Bridesonblacks and TastyCrisa into Yahoo's paid inclusion.
Its been 2 months and..
Tastycrisa got 500 uniques and 1 sale
BridesOnblacks got 8 (EIGHT) uniques and 2 sales
I know ratios of 1:4 are good LOL, but umm EIGHT uniquesComment
