This script is really new so no really big site running it yet.

It's built for "heavy load" though. No SQL to make it faster,
"bins" for the daily videos to make page loading even faster.
Auto update runs as a background process so it's transparent to the surfer and doesn't slow down the site etc...etc...

Do you have a high traffic site you'd like to use it for?

Did you change the install cgi to run as "strict"?

Just put your path to perl in the script without any switches and run it.

For example use this : /usr/bin/perl

but not this : /usr/bin/perl -d -w -s

tiger 10-25-2007 02:37 PM

My path to perl is as you said: /usr/bin/perl

I didn't change anything in the script. Everything looked correct as is.

tiger 10-25-2007 02:39 PM

I should note that I'm getting these errors when I run the script via the command line. Because when I run the script in my browser I just get a 500 internal server error.

fris 10-25-2007 02:42 PM

i wanna try it for free

tiger 10-25-2007 02:44 PM

Also I did run the test.cgi script without errors.

It's free to all who want to try it.

Just download and install and you can use all the functions fully and build a website. You don't have to enter any credit card of anything like that.
It only ask you if you want to buy it after 10 days and you can decide then if you like it.

It doesn't run from the command line.

The 500 error is the problem.

Did you change BOTH lines in the install cgi??

There are two lines with the path to perl that must be changed.

Ok, did you unzip the file on your PC or did you upload the zip file to your server?

tiger 10-25-2007 02:55 PM

I didn't change either line. Both were correct already. I didn't change anything after downloading the script. All paths were already correct.

Your server will not execute scripts in a cgi-bin folder with chmod 777 so I chmod the tube folder to 755.

Try it now.

Some servers do this and some don't.

tiger 10-25-2007 04:04 PM

Great! Works now, I'm going to give it a spin.

Thanks again.

No problem.

I also updated the installation instructions to alert everyone of that issue.
Somebody could spin their wheels for days without figuring that out.
