Insurance on your 'SUPER CARS'

I'm looking to purchase a Gallardo/Ferrari/Porsche one day and was wondering how much it cost ya for insurance for these cars.

I'm guessing it would depend on your state.

I know a number of years back I had called my insurance on a Porsche I test drove. It was $1500 every 6 months I believe was the quote as I cackled.

a friend is a insurance adjuster, he said insurance on highlines like this isn't much different than your average bmw etc. Most people who afford these cars are not idiots when it comes to driving them.

Great company if you have a good driving record. Being an old fart helps to

Specialty insurance. I have had this on a few of my higher end cars, and there are limitations to it like: Mileage (3-5k per year), garage kept, good driving record, alarm in the garage, pictures of EVERYTHING in and out of the car and if it's a 2nd or 3rd car.. Stuff like that.

Some major carries have a specialty division and for the cars I insured it was about 30% of what it would cost if it was a daily driver.

Well, I've never owned a exotic car.... I have a 2004 Cobra and when I added it to my insurance.... They had no idea what it was so I pay the same amount as a "mustang". I'll take that.

Ya just wait till you get hit and they only reimburse you for a "mustang" lol

And ya being young is ridiculous for driving. I think its gotta be against some age discrimination law seeing as how you are charged more only based on your age.
