I think internext should have a pr seminar. I can't believe the serious lack of diplomacy skills some companies have.
|
Tony, there appear to be a few people that take the whole "rap star" mentality when it comes to these things. Pissing on the smaller webmasters is some sort of street cred thing, maybe some sort of requirement to be able to send traffic to Lars or something. It's like taking a bullet.
Arrogance is a disease. |

What I was saying before people was that we responded to the thread like everyone asked. People didnt like the responses thats fine.
The acount was Terminated. And the affiliate was notified Traffic was no longer being accepted. Frankly I have nothing more to say on this. When an affiliate program does promo's like $50 joins for the rest of the year You get all kinds of traffic sources sending. Shit like this happens. And honestly Im sure if the affiliate isnt sending to us he will be sending to someone else. |

If the .org is gone, the .info or the .whatever is used in it's place. THe .orgs are popular because Google's algo gives a very slight trust rank boost to .org domains. |

Again I will say it again. We have posted our facts. If you choose to not believe it it is your choice. We will not discuss this matter publically any longer. Feel free to hit anyone from www.quickbuck.com up directly. Thanks

If they keep it they're theives, and if they pay the affiliate, they're funding the person stealing from everyone else. |

Of course, there's a number of charities they could donate it to. |
i have an idea.. lets take business advice from the guy above me! :)
he's a big winner. |
http://www.gfy.com/showthread.php?t=...&highlight=WEG
i posted about this thief months ago - hundreds of dot orgs with name porn stars and models using everybody else's content all going to WEG. hallelujah it's raining rogue affiliates! |

boohoo... somebody is better at SEO than you.. i'll write you an apology letter over that and i'll kiss it before i mail it. if however somebody is using YOUR content and you did not give it away for free to them then you bet i'll take action on it... will i take action based on 9, 90, or 9000 gfy monkey's posts. the answer is no. we're not hard to reach. if you *actually* have a problem with us then you can handle it like a grown up... otherwise i'll assume that as usual you're just trying desperately to ride on the coat tails of one of the most successful affiliate programs in existence. |

On this particular question there's no right answer they can give, there's no way they can win. :2 cents: |

The only program owner I've seen in this thread is you :helpme |

yes mutt, stop soliciting teenage girls to become pornstars and start acting like a grown up.
|
so i guess this drama is resolved

If you were right and did nothing wrong you just ruined it by acting like an asshole. But what do you care, you only make 1% of your sales from GFY :warning |

They have not helped themselves with the way that they have handled this situation. Their response has done nothing to restore any respect in their ability to run an honest program nor any confidence that they can correct the problems in their process and procedures that allowed the situation to occur. They could have started with acting professionally by being contrite and offering an apology while issuing a statement on what they planned to do in anticipation of the questions they had to know would be asked, including what they were going to do with the money. |
i'm sorry, do i owe the good people of gfy something?
had we been approached with a question of "QuickBuck, what the heck is going on?" then we would have approached it with an answer of "ok, we're looking into it, give us a few hours". Do you see any threads giving us even close to a suggested opportunity to look into it? The moment I saw the threads I knew exactly what the result of any explanation would be... just check the first few threads, the assumption is that if we don't admit to actively stealing joins that we are lying... so we're either lying or stealing? treat me with respect, contact me about concerns, and I will do the same to you... treat me like a crook and I will treat you like an idiot. |

Anyway QuickBuck admitted to contacting this guy and giving him a heads up. So from the time it was posted here, Quickbuck was notifed of this happening and they contacted the person doing it, who then killed his zango campaigns. All in the matter of 10 - 20 mins. That tells me that Quickbuck knew the "affilaite" really well. Either someone who they had on ICQ or picked up the phone and got in touch with them asap. Also, if this was an affiliate they knew well one would think it would only be logical that the affiliate would have let quickbuck know what they were doing.I mean come on, that is the type of activity you get approved before you start doing it. But we all know how this game works, 9 out of 10 times the affiliate company makes an account and then uses it themself so they can deny it when they get caught. Sexbankroll was the only idiot that used zango and used their own urls LOL can't blame an affiliate on that, oh wait those idiots tried anyway. |
Quote:
People apologize for things they do wrong, not for things the do right (like finding out about the issue and terminating the affiliate promptly). How many joins per day have you stopped sending me exactly because of this? 0 or 0? I don't mean this in pimpdog self destructive kind of way, but my only obligation is to my active affiliates.. not to random people who's sole claim to existence is their ability to post on gfy. We take *great* care of our affiliate from huge payouts, custom sites, bonus points and more. If you are an actual affilliate, then you have likely already spoken to us personally and directly. Forgive me for not being more humble and loving towards people who don't do business with me. |
