The City decided we needed a new water meter installed, so they sent a flunky out to do the installation. Turns out he had to chop a large hole in our studio wall and then add a big ugly wooden box frame to cover his handiwork.

So...

Since the Van Halen reunion tour is headin' to Toronto tomorrow night (and I've got tickets!) - it seemed fitting to make lemonade outta lemons and make some VH-inspired graphics.

Nice job, that thing isn't easy to do. Paint or...?

So its going to be featured in all your studio pics from now on? Isn't it a bit glaring?

No paint - it was all done with colored vinyl tape. Our local Liquidation World had a sell-off of giant rolls of the stuff for $1.99 ea. - so I bought nearly the entire inventory.

But yeah, it'll appear in the photos for a little while until I decide to strip it down and do something different with it. I've got other ideas what to do with it as well.
