I hope nobody mines me asking a question in the middle of your conversation. I'm new here and an owner of a New Web cam Site Http://www.platinumdesire.com and I feel lucky to of found this conversation and listen to everyone discuss the mechanics of affiliate systems and what works for you and what does not. Also seems that people are still trying to find out what works best on cam sites. Others seem to have it figured out.

To those of you that feel you have it figured out, Im asking you in particular this question.

Please excuse me if you don't allow this type of question in the middle of your conversations. I do not mean to "butt" in on anyone’s business here. Since I am new at this business I want to be sure I take the proper steps to be successful. My first step in this business was to sit back and read for almost 6 months and watch the competition. . It’s differently nice to read between the bullshit, and find what im looking for. Allot of you are really smart about your business. This is why I feel I must ask your advice here at this time, since your conversation boarders around the affiliate software im going to build for my webcam site, I want to be sure I build something that works as the affiliates, and of course does not render me broke paying large upfront cost like some of these very large cam sites can do.

I believe some of you will comment about like many others have in private conversations that im getting into a market that is not easy. (Some small thoughts) I figure that a web cam site owner is paying 125 per "lead" then I figure they are converting about 1/3 "leads" you send them, and they are paying for each good conversion of about $375. These sites are earning way more then $125 per lead over a period of time. And leads me to believe at these rates this market is still alive. The compounding effect of the conversion is what the cam site owner loves. The good thing is that they are earning very high margins from each one of these customers and modest from others. This method balances all out at a healthy earning each month from a mature cam site. The key to the owner of the webcam site is is these customers dont go away. Not all but many of them will continue to use a webcams services. So paying $125.00 fee for a customer and not sharing the revenue for a life time has its capital cost but in the long run earns the webcam site more money.

*keep in mind these numbers are only my estimations, for all I know they might be converting almost every one of them.

I can see the need for a revenue sharing program. So my thought to build something that is revenue sharing based rather then up front payment. This way as a new webcam owner I can share my profits to those that helped me from the beginning because I truly believe in order to make it in this market you need people like you.

Anyways.. Without typing so much... I will define my question(s)

1. Can you tell me what type of Revenue sharing program you would like to see?

2. What mechanics should I build into my custom written affiliate system? How would you like me to feed you back end data to convert more? Would you like the free chat girls on your site? RSS Feeds, ???

I want ideas that will convert and I want something that will help my partners for a lifetime. Since I’m coming into a market that is going to be hard I want to be sure I get one foot up. So if anyone wants to offer my public or private advice I would really appreciate it.

I started running cams in May, first thing I realize is that they dont convert quite as well as regular paysites BUT the payoff can be ten times better and most of the time is. We have several members that love to spend 5-6g a month. First time I saw a guy hit 10g i called him to make sure there wasn't fraud. He was just a guy who thought cams were the cats meow and apparently met a girl.

I think the great thing about cam programs like ours (i know webcams.com is very good as well) is that when a member does sign up for a free/paid membership we make it a priority to keep marketing to them so they keep coming back to check out whats new. Girl of the week, etc, etc.

I had a webmaster who pushed us hard in May/June and then sold his sites, links were changed but the guy still sees rebills almost every single day.
