I'm pretty sure I remember seeing on one of the Discovery Channel shows, that the 'official' first words of Neal from the moon were changed just a little bit, that's why the recording always sounds a tad scrambled at the end. From what I remember them saying on the show, the first original words from Neal were something like, "That's one small step for man, one giant leap for this man."

One of you had to have seen the show I'm talking about. I'm probably not 100% accurate in my recollection, but I am certain that the 'official' phrase was changed from what was actually said by Neal.

I don't have physical evidence. Just my fathers dieing words. He was a Lt. Colonel in the Air Force. He told me the reason Area 51 is off limits is because it's where the moon landing was filmed, and a lot of the work was done on a sound stage in Albuqureque NM. He was a Capt. then and was heavily involved in it. After he died I talked to his ex wife about it. She said they lived in Las vegas during the time and he made a lot of trips to NM, and she never knew why.

So after the Apollo mission people were able to bounce lasers off the moon. Now lets say there was no Apollo mission. You are actually saying the government went so far that they secretly send a probe or whatever into space, with 1000's of people involved of which not one has ever opened his mouth in almost 40 years just to put a mirror on the moon?
