And for transmissions to be "bounced off" the moon and come back to us here, it would be necessary for the moon to be in specific places in the sky... and I'm betting that most of the occurrences of voice transmission coming from the moon during the Apollo missions were where the trigonometry involved in bouncing a transmission off the moon from the Earth would make such a feat impossible - leaving only the conclusion that the transmission originated from an outer-worldly source.

I'm pretty sure I remember seeing on one of the Discovery Channel shows, that the 'official' first words of Neal from the moon were changed just a little bit, that's why the recording always sounds a tad scrambled at the end. From what I remember them saying on the show, the first original words from Neal were something like, "That's one small step for man, one giant leap for this man."

One of you had to have seen the show I'm talking about. I'm probably not 100% accurate in my recollection, but I am certain that the 'official' phrase was changed from what was actually said by Neal.

He was the commander of Apollo 13, which suffered an explosion enroute to the Moon, and the command module pilot of Apollo 8, the first Apollo mission to enter lunar orbit.

If they were faking the missions, why would they have one of them not land on the moon when their announced plan was to do so?

You may have heard of the Apollo 13 movie starring Tom Hanks as Lovell.

The first portable TV cameras were in 1950.

Keep in mind that this transmission was not 'precisely instant' as we are used to today. It took about as long as it takes GFY to load, most of the time.
