I met Kevin Smith

Hey kids while you were all posting away i was off meeting Kevin Smith and Jason Mewes!

For all of you who DONT know who they are i lost a lot of respect for you.

Kevin Smith wrote/directed:

Jersey Girl
and others..

Kevin Smith plays Silent Bob in all the movies whilst directing/writing them.

Jason Mewes plays Jay.

Anyway he was an awesome guy and a great speaker.
After the Q&A when everyone left i was waiting for my buddy to pick me up so i was walking around the building. Then in the distance i saw someone behind the building near the dumpsters smoking a cigarette by himself. It was Kevin Smith! It seemed like where he would be from any of his movies. It was like a little girl meeting Justin Timberlake. I didnt know what to say, but eventually i started speaking to him, and i had a good 15 minute conversation with him. He is a great guy and best of all he loves arrested development.

And im not going to embarrass myself with my jason mewes picture.

I believe that is the same jacket he wore in all of his movies as Silent Bob. I heard him on Opie and Anthony one time saying he bought it at an Oak Tree (anyone remember that store?) off the clearance rack for $20 before he was famous and still wears it...

I have met him a couple times. I have been a big Kevin Smith fan since Clerks came out..met him once in Boston in 1995 and then again in London in 2006..nice cycle. I was also served by Walt Flannigan at the Secret Stash in New Jersey.

Yeah same jacket. Someone went up during the Q&A and asked if he could wear it for inspiration. And Kevin said he could go in the jacket with him but he couldnt wear it... so the kid went in the jacket

hahah I met him in Red Bank at their store a few years back he was in there bullshitting.. so I got him to sign my ClerksX for me then he gave us directions to the quick mart

I walked in and asked the clerk.. "are you even supposed to be here today"

he didn;t find it to funny hahahaha

I met Jay in a pizza hut in Pittsburgh about 8-9 years ago. He was really cool and gave the girl I was with at the time an autograph in crayon on a pizza hut placemat, lolz.

I was bet I couldn't get his cell # from a friend who wanted to send him a movie he had done. I got it by calling his office and talking to his receptionist. I said I was his cousin from NJ, he was supposed to pick me up at the airport in LA (lol), but my phone was dead and I don't have his cell #. She must have either been new, or his cousin was in town because she gave me his cell.

Hardly the greatest accomplishment in the world, but I won the bet.
