Just wondering as I haven't shot much recently... are you paying your US talent less due to the shitty situation with the US Dollar? and/or are they doing more for what they are getting paid?
Content Producers..... because of the US Dollar.. is your talent getting paid less?

hey kev..
why would you pay them less? measured in euro, they are already getting less.
luckily most USA talent buys their booze, cigs and drugs in us dollar and therfore dont need to be afflicted by the ever low us $ value."Obscenity is whatever gives the Judge an erection." -- Author Unknown -
i wonder what that has to do with shooting US models? you get $ - you pay $, nothing changed for you.
whereas i have to pay models in euro while getting $ for the content - which is kind of unfortunate at the momentComment

Just curious about the economics of it all. Supply and demand. Economy in a slide.... sites not making as much as they used to... in turn perhaps a less of a demand for models.. therefore more of a supply. More supply means people get paid less as you have more options.
I don't think it's as simple as just saying that the US Dollar is shit.. but it is only affecting how it converts against other currencies.
Hey JP how ya doin?ICQ: 370 037 008Comment

Not to be rude.. but that's part of working in the international market. If I wanted to sell in Mexico.. I would have to deal with Mexican economics. It would be nice if 90% of my customers were paying with Euros right now as I could probably charge them more (than the 29.95 US... maybe I could charge 29.95 in Euros and they would be OK with that).
If your majority of sales are in the US, then that's the way it goes. Not surprisingly.. most people's majority of their sales are in the US.. so for the non-US producer right now.. it's getting shittier and shittier.
Hence, the reason I asked... Are people paying US talent less? It would seem to be part of the economic model.ICQ: 370 037 008Comment

you are correct - up to a certain point. and the point is reached when it economically makes no sense anymore to produce for the same USD price. and then it's up to the client whether he will pay a higher price to keep his content source or if he will switch to a local producerComment

Naw dude, no way that affects what we have to pay.
