I was running a used record store, getting ready for a divorce. Fun fun fun!

In 1997 I was running a fledging business on borrowed time. It was so bad that I probably would have had more cash if I'd gone on welfare. It was my first business so I made the classic mistake of not wanting to give up my baby, rather than realising it was a lost cause which was better off shut down. (Eventually I saw the light... but it was a few years later!!!)

Incidentally, falling into adult allowed me to repay all of the debts from that business in a timely manner. :Graucho

As for then I was shutting down my BBS for the most part and moving online. Move would not be complete for awhile though as I was first pre occupied with moving my BBS online and then setting it up as a portal/isp. That got Fubar real quick after a delay with MCI and a T1 line that never arrived and was sent to a brand new ISP litterally across the street from me after I had paid for it and waited months for installation.
