We have a dishwasher; highly recommended, it's the quietest and most efficent dishwasher we've ever owned.

Don't know what the servicing would be like on it (we've only had it about 6 months). I understand that they are very reliable, but if they need to be fixed, it can be expensive.

Bosch are great appliances. you may want to look at Miele as well they are # 1 in Europe, far and above anything else, but the price is high to !!

Great high end appliances.
However you are paying a great deal for the name alone often by a percentage that would make you sick.

You are just as safe going with one of the other premium brands who also make lower end appliances such as maytag and the likes. If however you want quality, reliability, brute force, and cost savings. Visit a kitchen supply store. Often they are open to the public and wholesale too. For the same price as a mid range bousch you could end up with a high end ultra high btu professional kitchen grade range.

Also keep in mind "designers" get a lot of their recent inspiration from professional kitchens. Then make the fashionable and charge you out the ass. Hell more professional kitchens have been using stainless steel, window fridges, cement slab foors and counters, and so forth long before it was on every home remodeling show on the planet.

thnx. found a supply store online about 20 mins away....waiting for them to open to call over and see if open tp the public. my parents redid the whole house except for the kitchen and are now doing the kicthen. i have been pretty much handling the whole makeover and thought to go with Bosch to maximize money in the end when they sell in about 2 years...sell it as "STATE OF THE ART KITCHEN" .... i hope i am not wrong in thinking so. The realtor agreed with me and said it would be a good idea...i will take a look at maytag as well....
